Bengaluru, Jul 31: Karnataka has reported 1,987 fresh cases of COVID-19 disease in the last 24-hours, taking the total number of people infected from the pandemic so far in the state to 29,05,124 Today.

According to official sources, as many as 37 people had succumbed to death, on Saturday, due to the COVID-19 disease taking the total number of fatalities in the state over the pandemic to 36,562.

While as many as 1,632 covid-19 patients, got discharged after being completely cured of the disease there are another 23,796 active cases across the state.

In the last 24-hours as many as 1,38,532 persons had undergone the covid-19 tests and the positivity rate for the day stood at 1.43 per cent and the case fatality rate accounted for 1.86 per cent, the sources added.(UNI)
