Bengaluru, Jun 9 : Karnataka Today reported 10959 fresh cases of COVID-19, taking the total number total cases to 2728248.
According to official sources, as many as 192 people had succumbed to the COVID-19 pandemic in the last 24-hours, taking the total number of fatalities so far in the state to 32291.
While the highest number of 50 Covid-19 infected people died in Bengaluru urban district, Belagavi recorded 22, followed by Haveri 12, Ballari 11, Dharwada and Shivamogga 9 each and 8 each in Belagavi, Bengaluru Rural and Hassan district.
The sources also informed that in the last 24-hour, as many as 20246 Covid-19 patients got discharged after being completely cured from the disease. Now, there are 215525 active cases across the state.
In the last 24 hours, as many as 163962 people had undergone for the Covid-19 tests, and positivity rate for the day accounted for 6.68 per cent while the Case mortality rate stood at 1.75 per cent, the sources added.(UNI)
