Bengaluru, Aug 26 : Karnataka Today registered 1,213 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the total infections to 29.43 lakh, state health department said.
Besides, the state also saw 25 deaths, pushing the death toll to 37,231.
Total 1,206 people were discharged, taking the total number of recoveries to 28,86,906.
Meanwhile, active cases stood at 19,300, a health department bulletin said.
Bengaluru Urban reported the highest 319 cases and two fatalities, followed by Dakshina Kannada district bordering Kerala with 269 fresh infections and 10 fatalities.
Twenty-two districts reported zero fatalities, the bulletin added.
A total of 1,87,187 samples were tested in the state on Thursday, taking the cumulative number of specimens examined so far to 4.26 crore.
The state Positivity Rate was 0,64 percent while fatality rate was 2.06 per cent.

The number of vaccinations done so far in the state rose to 3.87 crore, it said.(UNI)
