Karnataka: CM to inaugurate E-Digital library and a park for differently-abled children

Belagavi, Sept 25 : Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will on Sunday inaugurate “Shri Ravindra Koushik” hi-tech E-Library at Shahapur area in Belagavi and a park at the Mahatma Pule garden in the City on Sunday, said Belagavi south MLA Abhay Patil.
He was speaking in a press conference here on Saturday and said that, books in five languages English, Kannada, Hindi, Marathi and Urdu are available in the Digital Library, which the the first of its kind in the world, he said.
The e-Library has been set up at a cost of two crore fifty lakh rupees, and will be of immense help to all types of students, job aspirants and others, he said.

The salient features of the E-library is the indoor Reading Room with semi open space for newspapers and periodicals on the ground floor. In additional to the conventional learning the provision of digital reading/learning area with fully air-conditioned room facility has been provided for the citizens in the first floor.
Abhay Patil further said, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will be visiting Belagavi on Sunday and he will participate in the differently abled children’s park at Mahatma Phule Garden in the city which has been built at a cost of Rs 2.85 crores and is the first of its kind in the country, he said.
He said the park has special features for the different abled children, like a therapy hall equipped with therapy and recreational equipment, Open Air Theatre, Sand and Soil Bed for outdoor activities, Gazebo, Walking Path and many other facilities.(UNI)
