Puducherry, Mar 11 :The people of Kadirkamam constituency here on Wednesday night picketed the residence of N R Congress president N Rangasamy insisting that he should not change the constituency in this election.
Rangasamy was elected from the Kadirkamam constituency in the last assembly election and reported were there that he may contest from Yanam constituency this time. A former minister from Yanam Malladi Krishna Rao invited Rangasamy to contest from Yanam and had even started campaigning in support of Rangasamy.

Hearing the news, the people of the Kadirkamam constituency picketed the residence of Rangasamy and insisted that he should contest from Kadirkamam this time too. Pacifying them, Rangasamy left to the “Appa Paithya Swamy” temple and the people also followed him. After the ‘pooja’ Rangasmay informed them that he is yet to take a decision on the constituency from where he will contest the next election, following which the crowd left.(UNI)
