Srinagar, Dec 1 : Jammu and Kashmir Today  reported 234 fresh covid-19 cases while one person succumbed to the Coronavirus during the past 24 hours, official sources said.

He said, among the fresh 234 cases –116 were reported from Jammu Division and 118 from Kashmir valley, taking the overall tally to 337086.

One person died due to the virus in Kashmir Valley during the period taking the overall death toll to 4477 so far including 2185 in Jammu and 2292 in Kashmir, they said.

They said among the 89 fresh positive cases were travelers and 87 alone from the Reasi district of Jammu division.
Moreover, 171 Covid-19 patients recovered and discharged from various hospitals of Jammu and Kashmir during the past 24 hours — 26 from Jammu Division and 145 from Kashmir, they added.

So far 330922 patients have recovered, leaving an active case tally at 1687 — 381 in Jammu and 1306 in Kashmir.

There was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis “black fungus” reported today. So far 49 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

The officials also informed that 59134 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered in Jammu and Kashmir during the period.(UNI)
