Intakanne-Kesamudram track restoration work is inspected by SCR GM.

HYDERABAD, SEPT 2 :  Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager of South Central Railway (SCR), inspected the Intakanne-Kesamudram section of the Secunderabad Division on Monday to review the progress of track restoration work.

The railway track between the Intakanne–Kesamudram section (between Kms 418 and Kms 432) was damaged due to heavy rains and flooding.

During the inspection, the general manager held detailed discussions on the restoration plans for the affected locations. Restoration work is being carried out on a war footing, with teams working around the clock to restore normalcy in train operations as quickly as possible. At Km 418, damage occurred at five locations, four of which have already been attended to, with work progressing rapidly. Similarly, at Km 432, four spots were damaged, three of which have been restored, and the final spot is under swift repair, a SCR statement said.

Arun Kumar Jain emphasised that the restoration work must adhere to standard safety norms to ensure optimal safety in train operations. He instructed the divisional officials to complete the track restoration as quickly as possible while ensuring the safe diversion of water flow.

The general manager arrived at the site around 0900 hours and personally monitored the track restoration efforts along with other senior railway officials.

PS Brahmanandam, Principal Chief Engineer, SCR; PD Mishra, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer, SCR; S Vivekanand, Principal Financial Advisor, SCR; Bhartesh Kumar Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division; and other senior railway officials were also present at the site.(UNI)
