Barabanki, Nov 21 :AIMIM National President Asaduddin Owaisi has called upon the Muslims to make leader from the community, instead of making someone else your leader.

He said despite a sizeable 19 percent Muslim population in the state, today they could not get any political leader, while with just 11 percent Yadav, they get Chief Ministers in UP.

Addressing a Shoshit Vanchit Samaj convention organized in Rampur here on Sunday, Owaisi said you can become a political leader and then you recognize your strength. Instead of making someone else your leader, become a leader yourself, then only you will be able to move forward and you will be recognized, he said.

Owaisi said that teachers of madrasas were not paid salaries, farmers did not get fertilizers. “Yogi government is also harassing farmers. They withdraw the agriculture law and Modi apologized to the country. Modi what acting you are doing when in, seven and a half year hundred farmers died,” he said.

He alleged that the Barabanki mosque was demolished but SP and Congress did not speak on the mosque, because they have nothing to do with the mosque.

The mosque is ours, that’s why we spoke. SP and Congress only want the votes of Muslims and have nothing to do with their problems, he claimed.

AIMIM president said Muslims are facing police harassment all over UP. He further alleged that Rs 2000 were taken from the Muslim youths for preparing their passport.

“A massive commission is charged in allotment of PM Awas. Muslim women do not get proper treatment in hospitals,” he further charged.

Earlier in Lucknow, Owaisi said that AIMIM will contest around 100 seats in UP in alliance with one or two political parties.(UNI)
