India, Nepal will continue to strengthen timeless friendship: PM Modi thanks PM Deuba
New Delhi/Kathmandu, Jan 26 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi Today thanked Nepalese Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba for the warm Republic Day wishes and said the two sides will continue to work together to add strength to the timeless friendship. In a tweet, the PM said: “Thank You PM @SherBDeuba for your warm felicitations. We will continue to work together to add strength to our resilient and timeless friendship.” PM Deuba, in a tweet, had extended “Warmest felicitations to the Government and People of #India on the occasion of the 73rd #RepublicDay! “Best wishes to PM Shri @narendramodi ji for the continued progress and prosperity for the people of India.” External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had also thanked his Nepalese counterpart Narayan Khadka for his warm greetings. “Thank FM Dr. Narayan Khadka for his warm greetings. I reciprocate the sentiments fully.” The Nepalese foreign ministry in a statement said, that on the occasion of the 73rd Republic Day of India, Nepalese President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Foreign Minister Dr. Narayan Khadka have sent separate messages of felicitations to Indian President Ram Nath Kovind, PM Modi and EAM Jaishankar. In her message to the President of India, President Bhandari has extended best wishes for good health and happiness of the President of India as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of India. She also expressed congratulations and best wishes on the 75th anniversary of India’s independence, being celebrated in India as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsab. Similarly, Prime Minister Deuba also extended best wishes for the good health and happiness of Prime Minister Modi and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of India. PM Deuba commended India’s remarkable achievements in socio-economic development and impressive advancement in technologies and innovation. He expressed his confidence that the relations would continue to grow stronger in the days to come. Likewise, Foreign Minister Khadka expressed warm felicitations and best wishes to the EAM Jaishankar and the people of India.
