In the India Today MDRA University Rankings 2024, GNDU is ranked eleventh.

AMRITSAR, JULY 30 : Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) has achieved an overall 11th rank among the top government universities in the Country in the India Today MDRA Best Universities Survey.

This all-time high ranking highlights GNDU’s commitment to excellence in education, research, and holistic development of its students, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP).

The India Today University Rankings 2024 evaluate institutions on criteria’s including academic reputation, infrastructure, faculty quality, research output, and perception.

GNDU’s impressive ranking reflects its sustained efforts in these domains. The university’s faculty has significantly contributed to advancements in science, technology, and social sciences, as evidenced by GNDU’s current H-index of 150.

Notably, GNDU is actively contributing to all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a strong focus on good health and well-being in its research. This achievement is the result of the comprehensive efforts of the GNDU administration under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof Jaspal Singh Sandhu since last 7 years.

The University has invested in building state-of-the-art infrastructure and enhancing academic, research, and co-curricular activities. The university’s excellence is further demonstrated by its outstanding performance in sports and cultural events at both national and international levels, making GNDU popular across geographies.

These accomplishments have earned GNDU a CGPA of 3.85 on a 4-point scale and an “A++” grade (the highest level) from NAAC. Additionally, the UGC has conferred GNDU with “University with Potential for Excellence” status.(UNI)
