In advance of the general election, the BJP names four new state chiefs
New Delhi, July 04 : Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha poll, the BJP has appointed state chiefs for Punjab, Telangana, Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh.In a statement, BJP named G Kishan Reddy, Sunil Jakhar, Babulal Marandi and D Purandeswari its president in Telangana, Punjab, Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh respectively.Union Minister G Krishna Reddy has been appointed party’ President for Telangana.Additionally, the party roped in Etela Rajender as the chairperson of BJP’s election management committee in Telangana.Sunil Jakhar and Babulal Marandi were appointed BJP presidents in Punjab and Jharkhand, respectively, the party said.Sunil Jakhar replaced Ashwani Sharma, while Marandi comes in the place of Deepak Prakash.D. Purandeswari has been appointed the BJP president in Andhra Pradesh, whereas Kiran Kumar Reddy, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh was appointed as the party’s Member of the National Executive Committee, said the statement.(UNI)
