IAC demands that corruption be eradicated in India.
PUNE, JUL 7 : Expressing concern about rampant corruption in the country, India Against Corruption president Hemant Patil on Sunday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stamp it out in order to make India a truly developed country in the world.
Even as corruption is increasing, neither the central government nor the state government were doing anything about it, he claimed and said that basically, corruption starts from people’s representatives like MPs, MLAs, corporators.
“If these elected representatives show determination to throw away corruption from its roots. If this happens, India will become a developed country and will be the number one country in the world,” he averred.
The IAC chief further said that despite Modi having introduced demonetisation and digital banking to flush out black money in the country, many Indians have black money stashed in overseas bank accounts, he claimed.
“It will be worth seeing what Modi will do in his third term as Prime Minister to bring back that money,” he said.
The BJP government or the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh workers should stop this corruption under the leadership of Modi, he demanded.
“If they could not stop, then we will protest outside RSS headquarters in Nagpur on behalf of IAC,” Patil warned.(UNI)
