Huge Festivities to Celebrate the Opening of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD JAN  24   :  On Monday, a symphony of festivities took place in Hyderabad as the hallowed resonances of the Pran Pratishtha event reverberated in Ayodhya. With the grand opening of the Ram Mandir, people from all walks of life turned the city into a canvas of celebration. Different regions of the city celebrated the occasion with various forms of illumination, such as the brightness of innumerable diyas and the rhythmic beats of kirtans.

Large screens are erected throughout communities to broadcast the event live from Uttar Pradesh. There were also other processions visible across the city. The people living in Mahendra Hills, Secunderabad, gathered for a full day of prayer. “We had nearly 5,000 devotees when we started at 7 am,” stated Ghanshyam Agrawal, the organizing committee secretary.

“We also arranged for 1,500 people to get ‘annadaanam,’ or complimentary meals. Five thousand people attended the ‘bhajan sandhya’ we prepared for that evening, said Subhash Goel, the chairman of the organizing committee.

In Tellapur, a gated community across town, locals reenacted a segment of the Ramayana.

“A little play telling the story drew about 700 families together,” said resident IT specialist Mukesh Savaliya.

The consecration ceremony was televised on large screens, even in some theaters that were interrupting the movie. A 36-year-old businessman from Musarambagh named Ashwin Shivraj talked about his experience attending one of these screenings. Shivraj remarked, “We had the impression that we were there at the ceremony, with 200 people chanting shlokas.” Many individuals participated in bhajans and prayers in their individual capacities.

For example, Neha Saboo, the proprietor of a recruiting firm, lit a dozen diyas inside and outside her home. For me, it goes beyond just celebrating Diwali. The 40-year-old Sindhi Colony resident stated, “I prepared bhog and displayed colorful Rangoli in front of my house. Several businesses were also spotted decorated for the occasion with rangoli and floral arrangements
