HP: Twenty-nine students of JNV Pandoh in Mandi test positive for COVID-19
Hamirpur/Mandi (HP), December 1: Some 29 students of the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalya, Pandoh in Mandi district tested positive for the coronavirus on Tuesday, health authorities informed Today.
In all, thirty-four students of the school have been found positive in the last two days and they have been put under home isolation for rest and isolation, said Dr Devinder Kumar Sharma, the Chief Medical Officer of Mandi.
He said that the work for the tracing of the contacts of the infected students was in full swing and no one would be allowed to remain without tests.
DrSharma said that thirty-two people were found Corona positive in the district on Tuesday out of which twenty-nine were the students of the JNV Pandoh.
The CMO has appealed to the people to follow all the COVID behavior in totality to ensure their and their family’s safety.
It’s worth mentioning here that the number of the active cases in the Mandi district has risen to 87. The number of fatalities in the district currently stands at 461 since the begining of the Corona pandemic in March 2019.
The number of total confirmed cases in the district stands at 31,915 and that of total cured people at 31,367.(UNI)
