Shimla, Jun 1 : Himachal Pradesh recorded 921 fresh COVID cases and 38 deaths, a health bulletin said here Today.

Among the deads, 12 were recorded in Kangra, six in Shimla, four in Mandi, three each in Solan, Bilaspur and Hamirpur, two in Kullu and Una, one Lahaul Spiti, Sirmaur and Chamba.
Among the deceased are president of Himachal Pradesh High Court bar association Mr Ramakant. He died after severe lungs infection.

After testing positive for nCoV Mr Kant was hospitalized at the Indra Gandhi Medical College Hospital ICU Covid ward. He was later shifted to non Covid ICU wards as his report tested negative.

Among the fresh cases, 298 were registered in Kangra, 104 in Shimla, 95 in Mandi, 86 in Chamba , 80 in Solan, 66 in Hamirpur, 56 in Kullu, 44 in Una, 35 in Bilaspur, 31in Sirmour, 16 in Lahaul Spiti and 14 in Kinnuar.
The active cases in the hill state are 12,407 the total cases have surged to 1,91,251 deaths to 3,165.(UNI)
