Kolhapur, Nov 19 : Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana (SSS) national president Raju Shetty Today  said

‘It is a historical victory of farmers and of their solidarity’.

Announcement of repealing three controversial agriculture bills by the prime minister Narendra Modi today, Mr Shetty while talking to reporters, said , “it was a historical victory of farmers and of their solidarity and congratulated Modi government for this decision in favour of farmers even though it was too late.

Mr Shetty said the farmers have been agitating peacefully for withdrawal of three agri bills from nearly one year, to be completed on November 25.

Though, Bhartiya Janata party led government had passed three bills in parliament , farmers did not accept these bills and started agitation against it and proved that even if any bills passed in parliament, it could be withdrawn.

He congratulated the central government for repealing the bills, considering specific demands of the farmers.(UNI)
