Hyderabad, Jan 5 : The Telangana High Court Today  granted bail to BJP’s state unit President Bandi Sanjay, MP, who was recently arrested for staging a protest defying COVID-19 protocols.

Setting aside the orders of the Karimnagar court which had sent him to 14 days judicial remand,the High Court ordered the release of Mr Sanjay on personal surety.

It may be mentioned that he was arrested on January 2 when he staged a protest against the state government order pertaining to government employees transfer, defying curbs in view of increasing COVID cases.

Mr Sanjay’s arrest led to protests by the party and the BJP national president JP Nadda participated in a protest against the arrest in the city on Tuesday.(UNI)
