Hyderabad, Sep 28 : Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan made a telephonic call to Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Monday evening and enquired about the rain situation in the State.

Concerned over the incessant and heavy rains, the Governor asked about the preparedness of the administrative and relief machinery.

The Chief Secretary explained to the Governor that NDRF teams were kept ready in all the districts and Control rooms were also set up.

He informed the Governor that the rescue and relief teams have been kept on high alert to quickly respond to any situation.

The Governor had suggested the Chief Secretary that the entire administrative machinery need to be kept on high alert and round-the-clock monitoring need to be there.

The Chief Secretary had assured the Governor that all the required administrative machinery was kept on high alert to meet any exigency, a Raj Bhavan Communiqué here said.(UNI)
