Haryana Governor congratulates Bhukya for scaling Mount Elbrus, Russia

Hyderabad, Sep 18 : Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya on Sunday called up over Telephone the young mountaineer from Telangana Bhukya Yashwanth Naik and congratulated him for scaling Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Russia, and hoisting the Indian National Flag.
“At a very young age, you have scaled the highest peak in Russia – Mount Elbrus. You have made Telangana and the entire nation proud. Congratulations! I am sure that you will scale many more peaks across the world including Mount Everest. Blessings and good wishes,” Dattatraya told Yashwanth on phone.
Bhukya Yashwanth Naik (18), scaled Mount Elbrus in Russia at 8:51 am on Friday.
He climbed the 5,642-meter-high mountain in minus 22 degree Celsius in six days. The boy, who hails from Maripeda Mandal in Mahabubabad District, Telangana, had started climbing the mountain on 11th September 2022 and climbed the peak on September 16, a statement here said.(UNI)
