Harish Rao, the leader of BRS, charges Congress of lying while offering six assurances.

HYDERABAD, MAY 4   :    BRS senior leader and former Minister T Harish Rao accused the Congress Government of deceiving the people of Telangana under the guise of six guarantees.

Addressing the “ Meet the Press” programme at the Press Club, Basheerbagh, here on Saturday, Harish Rao disputed Congress leaders’ claims of fulfilling five out of six guarantees, labeling it as a complete falsehood. He alleged that the Congress government had failed to fulfill even a single promise to farmers, emphasising that they must be held accountable in the upcoming election.

Harish Rao criticised Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s speeches, asserting that they undermined the dignity of his position, displaying elements of rivalry and vengeance. He highlighted that the previous BRS government promptly implemented Rythu Bandhu, unlike the Congress government, which delayed its extension even after completing the crop cycle.
He lamented the decline in public trust in government hospitals, contrasting the situation during the BRS regime when about 80 percent of deliveries occurred in such hospitals with the current preference for private healthcare facilities.

He criticized the BJP’s lack of substantial contributions to the state and emphasized Chief Minister KCR’s initiatives, such as allocating government funds to temples, which have garnered widespread support. Harish Rao expressed confidence in BRS’s increasing popularity, especially with KCR’s recent bus tour, predicting a significant victory for the party in the upcoming elections.

Harish Rao reiterated BRS’s commitment to securing the most seats in the upcoming elections and criticized Congress for neglecting the interests of marginalized communities, particularly the Madigala community. He underscored BRS’s secular stance and pledged support for a coalition government at the center, with BRS MPs prioritizing the welfare of Telangana.(UNI)
