Los Angeles, June 18 : Director of Disney’s ‘Aladdin’ Guy Ritchie is set to direct live-action adaptation of 1997 film ‘Hercules’.

The original animated ‘Hercules’ was directed by Ron Clements and John Musker. It had an $85 million budget and got $252 million at the box office worldwide.

According to Deadline, the upcoming film will be produced by AGBO, the production company run by Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo.

The studio is working to hire writers after Dave Callaham wrote a first draft.

Ritchie had recently shot an untitled action thriller untitled action thriller with Jake Gyllenhaal.(UNI)
