Gun battle rages in south Kashmir
Srinagar, Feb 7 : A gun battle broke out between militants and security forces in Kashmir on Monday evening, police said. The gun fight erupted at Nambal village of Awantipora sub district in south Kashmir when joint teams launched a Cordon And Search Operation(CASO) following an input about the presence of militants. “As the joint team approached the suspected spot, militants fired upon them triggering an encounter”, a security official said. This is the third gun fight in Kashmir in February. Three militants have been killed in earlier two gun fights. (UNI)
