Gujarat: 6th edition of AILF 2021 concludes

Ahmedabad, Jan 5 : 6th edition of Ahmedabad International Literature Festival 2021 concluded with the online session titled ‘Revising the Year 2021’ on 31st December 2021.
Prominent speakers Dr SK Nanda, IAS (Retd), Dr Heera Lal, IAS, AMD-NHM (UP) and advisor Model Gaon, Sandeep Nath shared their views on the pains and gains of 2021.
All the speakers expressed hope and confidence that the worst is over.
Founder Director of the festival, Uma Shanker Yadav at the start in his welcome address informed how probably the longest running hybrid literature festival of the country which was started with one day activity on 28th February 2021 at the Hotel Hyatt Vastrapur Ahmedabad with limited sessions.
Speakers and audience continued throughout the year barring few weeks where second wave of Covid-19 hit the entire country with its severest form.
As a responsible literary community the Ahmedabad International Literature festival like totally digital 5th edition of 2020, continued its activities to keep the audience creatively engaged, informed and entertained throughout the year.
From 28th February 2021 to 31st December 2021, AILF conducted precisely 38 sessions with 98 speakers from all over India and abroad covering almost everything in the field of literature, journalism, media, mental health, films, gender issues, languages, environment, and children’s literature.
Uma Shanker Yadav at the end promised again to continue serving the literature in the years to come with much more energy and enthusiasm.(UNI)
