Gold lacing works on Vimana of SGS temple to be completed by mid of 2022: TTD Chairman

Tirupati, Sep 13 :Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman Y V Subba Reddy Today said the gold lacing works on the Vimana of Sri Govindarajaswamy temple here will be completed by mid of 2022.
Participating in the concluding event of five-day long Balalaya program which began on September 9 and concluded today with Samprokshana fete at the temple premises, Mr Reddy said the Sri Govindarajaswamy Temple Gopuram was completed in 1972 and the TTD board decided to take up gold lacing works on Vimana in 2018.
He said the entire gold lacing works will cost Rs 32 crore and consists of 100 kgs of gold and 4300 kgs of copper plates.
However, all the Nitya Kainkaryams for Mula Murti will continue uninterrupted at the Balalaya organised at the Kalyana Mandapam in the temple.
Earlier the vaidika programs of Purnahuti, Divya Prabandam Sattumora were conducted followed by Balalaya Samprokshana. Later in the afternoon Nityakatla Kainkaryams and in the evening, the vaidika activities will be observed at the Yagashala.
Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy, Additional EO AV Dharma Reddy, JEO Sada Bhargavi, CVSO Gopinath Jatti, Chief Engineer Nageswara Rao, FA&CAO O Balaji, Temple Special Grade DyEO Rajendrudu, Temple Chief Archaka P Srinivasa Dikshitulu, Agama Advisor Vedanta Vishnu Bhattacharya and others were present.(UNI)
