Panaji, Jan 12 : Goa recorded 3119 new cases of novel coronavirus and two deaths during the past 24 hours, the health department said Today

According to the daily bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), with the addition of these new cases, the cumulative number of infections in the state rose to 1,97,096 while the death toll increased to 3,539.

A total of 1002 more recoveries were also reported during the past 24 hours, taking the number of recovered cases in the state to 1,79,423.

Recovery rate in the state currently stands at 91.03 per cent.

Today, 3091 patients were advised home isolation, 28 were admitted to hospitals while six were discharged.

During the same period, as many as 9795 new samples were tested, taking the number of tests conducted in the state so far to 16,97,558.

Currently, the state houses 14,134 active Covid-19 cases.(UNI)
