Panaji, Nov 8 : Goa recorded 30 new covid cases and two deaths during the past 24 hours, the health department said Today.

According to the daily bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), with the addition of these new cases, the cumulative number of infections in the state rose to 1,78,342 while the death toll increased to 3,370.

A total of 42 more recoveries were also reported during the past 24 hours, taking the number of recovered cases in the state to 1,74,686.

Recovery rate in the state currently stands at 97.95 per cent.

On Monday, 24 patients were advised home isolation, six admitted to hospitals while two were discharged.

During the same period, as many as 2262 new samples were tested, taking the number of tests conducted in the state so far to 14,88,234.

Currently, the state houses 286 active COVID cases.(UNI)
