Panaji, May 4 : Goa reported 2814 new cases of Covid 19 and 52 deaths during the last 24 hours.
According to daily bulletin issued by Directorate of Health Services (DHS), with the new cases, number of total confirmed cases in the state crossed one lakh and stood at 1,00,902 while number of total deaths increased to 1372.
There were 1870 recoveries during the last 24 hours which took the number of total recoveries in the state to 72,799.
Recovery rate in the state dropped to 72.15 per cent from 72.31 per cent recorded on May 3, 2021.
On Tuesday, 2426 new patients were sent for home isolation while 277 were admitted to hospitals.
As many as 6552 new samples were tested on Tuesday taking the number of total samples tested so far to 6,76,072.
The number of active cases in the state increased to 26,731.(UNI)
