Panaji, Jul 9: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant Today launched the new website of the NRI Commission.

According to NRI Commissioner Narendra Sawaikar, the website provides for the registration of Goan NRIs and the seafarers.

The data would help the commission in case of assistance in all times and particularly during the time of distress, Mr. Sawaikar said.

Mr. Sawaikar appealed to all the Goan diaspora and the seafarers to register themselves.

He said the information was protected and would not be available in the public domain. (UNI)
