Goa CM inaugurates oxygen plant

Panaji, Oct 7 :Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today inaugurated PSA oxygen plant setup under PM Cares Fund at District Hospital, Margao, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually dedicated PSA oxygen plant to the state at a function held at Rishikesh, Uttrakhand.

The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing PSA oxygen plants for the state.

He said the oxygen plant would help to overcome shortage of oxygen supply during upsurge of medical emergencies.

With the oxygen plants under PM Cares Fund, the State Government would be able to tackle difficulties related to oxygen supply, he said.

The Chief Minister lauded the tireless efforts and dedication put in by the medical staff of District Hospital, Margao, and officials of Health Department during the pandemic.

Dr Sawant congratulated the Prime Minister on completion of 20 years of his service towards the nation in the capacity as Chief Minister of Gujarat and the Prime Minister.

Dr Sawant along with Minister for Health Vishwajit Rane virtually attended the function held for dedication of oxygen plants towards the nation at Uttarakhand.

Rane said the State Government was working hard to make available all the facilities and infrastructure in order to effectively tackle the pandemic.

Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated PSA oxygen plant at ESI Hospital at Margao in the presence of Minister for labour and Employment Jennifer Monserrate.

Dr Sawant appreciated the efforts taken by the staff of ESI hospital during the pandemic and said the oxygen plant at ESI hospital would cater to the large number of people in medical emergencies.(UNI)
