Thane, Mar 7 :As many as four shops were totally gutted in an early morning fire in the city, the civic sources said on Sunday.

The Chief of the RDMC of the TMC Santosh Kadam told UNI that the fire broke out in the shopping complex of Noopur Building of Lokpuram, in Thane city’s Pawar Nagar locality.

The fire broke out at around 4.55 a.m. and destroyed the four shops.

He said that the shops comprised of a mini supermarket (dual shop), a stationery store and a boutique.

One fire engine from the civic fire services along with the RDMC team rushed and put out the fire within an hour, he said.

The officer said that no one was injured in the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under probe, he said. (UNI)
