HYDERABAD, FEB 1   :    Former Telangana Chief Minister and BRS President K Chandrashekar Rao took oath as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) here on Thursday.

The former CM was elected as MLA from Gajwel constituency in the assembly poll held in November last year but he could not take oath along with other MLAs in December as he had a fall in his farm house in Erravalli village of Siddipet district and underwent a total hip replacement surgery.

KCR, who was unanimously elected as the BRS legislature party’s floor leader earlier, and will be the leader of the Opposition in the Assembly.

He would participate in the upcoming budget session of the assembly.(UNI)
