NEW DELHI, DEC 26 : Former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh passed away at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here on Thursday following old age complications, the hospital announced.

According to a statement released by AIIMS, “The former Prime Minister was brought to the Medical Emergency at AIIMS, New Delhi at 8:06 PM. Despite all efforts, he could not be revived and was declared dead at 9:51 PM”.

The statement further said that he was being treated for age-related medical conditions and had a sudden loss of consciousness at home on Thursday. Resuscitative measures were started immediately at home. At 8-06 p.m,. he was admitted to the hospital where he passed away after one hour and 45 minutes.
