Guwahati, May 17 (UNI) Former Assam MLA and sports enthusiast Rana Goswami passed away today.
Rana Goswami had served as an MLA in the Assam Assembly representing the Chaygaon constituency.
Rana Goswami was also the vice president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
He was also the president and secretary of the Guwahati Sports Association.
Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta expressed grief at the demise of Rana Goswami.
“Deeply mourn the demise of former #Chaygaon MLA & sports activist Rana Goswami. My condolences and prayers to the bereaved family members. May his soul find eternal peace,” tweeted Keshab Mahanta.(UNI)
