New Delhi, April 22: Senior Delhi Congress leader and former Delhi government minister AK Walia died on Thursday due to being infected with Corona.

He was 72.

A senior state Congress leader said that Dr. Walia was found corona infected a few days ago and was then admitted to the Apollo Hospital here where he died this morning.

A doctor by profession, Dr. Walia, who represented the Laxmi Nagar constituency, was a member of the Delhi Legislative Assembly four times.

He entered politics in the year 1993 and served in important posts like the Ministry of Education, Health, and Finance in the Government of Delhi. (UNI)
