Five new positive cases found in Hamirpur, 13 patients cured

Hamirpur, Mar 16 : While COVID-19 is on the rise in the state as well as in the district of Hamirpur, five new cases were detected in the district till Monday night and thirteen older cases were cured. Stating this today, CMO, Dr Archana Soni said that out of 245 tests that were conducted on Monday, five were found positive and those found positive had been advised Home quarantine for the next seven days.

She said that as of today there were 45 active cases in the district out of total positive cases of 3,117. Forty-nine people have lost their lives and the number of cured cases was 3,022.

The CMO advised the people to abide by the COVID-19 guidelines and wear face masks besides maintain social distance while venturing out.

She said that at a time when new cases were on the rise, it was the duty of all to save them from its wrath by adhering to the existing guidelines.

The CMO said that the work for the vaccination of the people above sixty years of age and those suffering from various ailments but were above forty-five years of age was in full swing. She said that those who had yet not registered them for the vaccination should come forward on their own for their own safety and welfare.(UNI)
