Palghar, Jun 30 : With the arrest of five people, the Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar (MBVV) police claimed to have solved 10 cases of thefts and two-wheeler thefts.
Booty worth Rs 10.37 lakh was recovered from the arrested.accused, police said on Tuesday.
All these cases pertained to Valiv police station under Vasai of Palghar district.
The five accused were arrested between June 20 and 26, and in subsequent interrogation, the stolen goods were recovered from them.
The recovery pertains to 10 different offences registered with the Valiv police station.
The arrested accused have been identified as Rajesh Thakur (27), Karan Pradhan (26), Nirmalkant Shirsat (21), Jacky alias Dhansukh Jain (26) and Shiv Kumar Gautam (21, all from Nalla Sopara), sources added.(UNI)
