Final step of water delivery from Majalgaon Dam to Sindaphana River: Munde

MAJALGAON, MAY 10  :   Beed district Guardian minister Dhananjay Munde on Thursday said the process of release of water from Majalgaon Dam to Sindaphana River is in the final stage.
In a press statement, Munde stated that because of water scarcity villagers of Majalgaon taluka had given a memorandum to him regarding release of water from Majalgaon dam into the Sindfana river.
Accordingly, instructions have been given to the Secretary of the Water Resources Department, Deepak Kapoor, to release water in the river, the process of releasing water is in the final stage, he said.
The villages of Lukegaon, Shimpetakli, Roshanpuri, Naggaon, Govindpur, Sandus Chincholi etc. in Majalgaon taluka would benefit from the release of water from the dam.
Meanwhile, Munde and Dolankev have discussed the matter with Secretary of Water Resources Department Kapoor and other senior officials of the Water Resources Department and have instructed them to release water.
Meanwhile, in Beed district, there is a drought-like situation in many areas, prompting the administration to bring water tankers to such areas.
Munde is reviewing various matters including acquired water resources and availability of tankers in proportion to population, increase of tanker shipments as per requirement, every week and giving suitable suggestions.(UNI)
