Education Policy, water mission showcased at Rajpath

New Delhi, Jan 26 :The National Education Policy, life and works of Shri Aurobindo, and the crucial Jal Jeevan Mission were among the themes showcased through tableaux by different ministries at the Republic Day parade in New Delhi Today. Nine ministries presented their tableaux. The Ministry of Education in its tableau showcased the National Education Policy with the theme ‘Vedas to Metaverse’ depicting ancient and modern education side by side. Images of educationaists and scientists from ancient to modern times were part of the tableau. The Culture Ministry tableau showcased 150 years of Indian philosopher and yoga guru Sri Aurobindo. Department of Post’s tableau depicted the theme of women empowerment, and showed a Post Woman with a digital device and a postman’s bag. The Textile Ministry’s tableau showcased the theme ‘shuttling to future’. Along with different yarns showcased on the tableau, it also showed a ‘India Size’ chart being developed. The Civil Aviation Ministry showcased the regional connectivity scheme UDAN. A tableau of the Central Reserve Police Force, which comes under the Home Ministry, showcased the history of the paramilitary force. It had its inception as the Crown Representative’s Police in 1939, and was rechristened in 1949. The tableau showed the presentation of President’s Colours to CRPF in 1950 by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It also showed an EVM being guarded by the CRPF. The Water Resources Ministry portrayed the Jal Jeevan Mission in its tableau. A huge droplet on the tableau depicted ‘har ghar jal’, government scheme for piped water supply to every home, and community ownership of village water supply. The Law and Justice Ministry tableau depicted resolving disputes through Lok Adalats, and the Central Public Works Department paid tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and the Indian National Army through its tableau.(UNI)
