EAM discusses trade, investment, security with UK Foreign Secretary
New Delhi, Jan 10 :External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar Today held a phone conversation with UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss during which the two discussed their shared interest in trade, investment and security.
He also said that he looks forward to welcoming her in India.

The talks come ahead of UK Secretary of State for International Trade Anne-Marie Trevelyan’s visit to India later this week to launch the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations.
Trevelyan and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal are expected to discuss a range of issues, including green trade and the removal of market access barriers for both UK and Indian businesses.
On Thursday, the UK minister will join Piyush Goyal to co-host the 15th UK-India Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO).
In May 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, met virtually and agreed on a common vision of a new and transformational bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and adopted an ambitious India-UK Roadmap to 2030 to steer cooperation for the next 10 years.(UNI)
