Drinking water to be provided in LB Nagar Constituency in Hyderabad: Minister
Hyderabad, Oct 8: Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao today informed the Assembly that the drinking water supply will be provided to all colonies in the LB Nagar Constituency.
Replying to a question raised by the members during question hour, Mr. Rao said, under Urban Mission Bhagiratha Scheme, HMWSSB already implemented a water supply improvement project in LB Nagar Constituency by constructing 12 Reservoirs of 47.50 MLD capacity and laid 384 km length of the pipeline at a cost of Rs 313.26 crore.
Further, the proposals to extend the water supply pipeline network to the unserved colonies for 13.11 km length at a cost of Rs 5.25 crore is taken up and completed, he said.
The Minister said a Sewerage Master Plan is prepared for the entire Hyderabad Urban Agglomeration (HUA) up to Outer Ring Road (ORR) including LB Nagar Constituency by M/s Shah Technical Consultants, Mumbai.
The components of the sewerage master plan are—construction of Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), sewer collection network, and trunk sewers for creating permanent sewerage infrastructure.
The STP proposed in LB Nagar Constituency is of 320 MLD capacity at Nagole, the Minister said and added that the underground drainage (sewage) Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) are under preparation by the consultancy. (UNI)
