Dombivli Gang Rape: RPI protests, advocate asks peers not to fight for accused

Thane, Sep 24: Scores of Republican Party of India workers, including women, today held a fierce protest outside the Dombivli police station and demanded the strictest punishment to the accused involved in the shocking minor gang rape case.
RPI National Secretary Dayal Bahadur sought a special SIT probe into the case while one of the woman workers, Meena Salve, demanded castration for more than 30 accused named in the FIR.
Meanwhile, Kalyan Bar member and Advocate Prakash Jagtap appealed to all the advocates across the state to refrain from taking the brief of the accused persons.
“Taking the brief of such beast means supporting their inhuman act which brings shame to the society,” he remarked.
According to the latest update in the case, the 15-year-old victim was forced to stay with the accused for three days while unbeknownst of the crime the victim’s family filed a missing person case.
However, the girl returned after three days but couldn’t reveal anything out of shock and fear. Finally, the victim’s aunt took her into confidence after which the gory crime came to the fore.
On September 22 again, the prime accused Vijay Fuke and his accomplices took the victim to an isolated placed and raped her.
The girl’s aunt was following her but couldn’t save her from the sexual harassment as he lost track of her. Later, she reached the spot and rescued the girl. (UNI)
