Dist Collectors told to provide working space to TITA: Jayesh Ranjan
Hyderabad, Feb 21 Telangana Principal Secretary for Industries and IT Department Jayesh Ranjan has directed the District Collectors to provide working space to Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) in their respective district Collectorates or district headquarters.
Listing out the initiatives taken up by the Telangana IT Association in the fields of education, health and medicine, agriculture and other sectors, Principal Secretary said the decision to provide working spaces for the Association in districts will help the benefits of initiatives taken up by TITA reach the masses, an official release here said on Sunday.
Mr Jayesh Ranjan asked District Collectors to provide working spaces to the TITA district teams either at district Collectorates or district headquarters.
Expressing happiness at the Principal Secretary’s letter, TITA Global President Sundeep Kumar Makthala thanked the government and the officials. With this decision, we will be able to expand our services in various sectors and reach the common man, Makthala added.
TITA was launched by Sundeep Makthala during the Telangana statehood movement and supported the cause representing the IT workforce in the region then. After the State formation, the Association took up various initiatives in rural areas and has been part of the State’s success story.
TITA’s initiatives include provision of computer literacy in rural areas, Telangana Early Coders scheme aimed at imparting coding skills to students of Government schools, provision of free medical consultation through Tconsult mobile app during the covid-19 pandemic, provision of ID cards to artists of various art forms through Tculture app, a hackathon to identify rural talent, provision of sports
facilities to rural budding sportspersons and give them a better platform.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Makthala said that the government has recognized the services of the Association and has accordingly awarded State awards to TITA consecutively for three years for the services rendered. TITA was also allowed to work with the government in taking up various schemes. (UNI):
