DGP sanctions retirement gift of Rs 60 lakh in favor of 80 J&K PP

Srinagar, Sep 30 : Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has sanctioned a retirement gift of Rs 60 lakh in favor of 80 Police personnel of J&K Police who retired from active services today after attaining superannuation or on voluntary retirement.


A police spokesman said retirement gift has been sanctioned in favor of 80 police personnel which include five gazetted officers, forty-nine non gazetted officers, nineteen lower subordinates, and seven followers.

This personnel belongs to different units and wings of the department.


Retirement gift of Rs seventy-five thousand each is sanctioned in favor of police personnel from the Contributory Police Welfare Fund at the time of his or her retirement.

The gift serves as a token of appreciation for his or her services rendered to the department.


As a gesture of welfare, the Police Headquarter (PHQ) has sanctioned over Rs 8.26 crore retirement gift in favor of 1103 police personnel this year so far.(UNI)
