Destination Uttar Pradesh road show held in City
Hyderabad, Feb 24 : India Tourism Hyderabad and India Tourism Varanasi, the field offices of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India presented “Destination Uttar Pradesh” Roadshow at hotel The Plaza here on Wednesday.
The Roadshow focused on Dekho Apna Desh, which promotes domestic inbound tourism.
Buddhist Inbound Tourism Fraternity (BITF) from Varanasi and Bodhgaya showcased Buddhist and Ramayana Circuit and both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Tourism gave presentations in the same line for the benefit of the travel trade visitors.
17 travel trade representatives from BITF and also travel trades from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh took part in this B2B ( Business to Business) programme of the Roadshow. Since Andhra Pradesh and Telangana both have rich legacy of famous places related to Buddhism there is a common ground between the states where an exchange can happen.
Mr Shankar Reddy, Executive Director of Telangana Tourism Development Corporation was the Chief Guest for the programme.
Indiatourism Hyderabad made grand installations of photo booths featuring different attractions of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Haryana, the paired state of Telangana under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
This domestic roadshow is part of the series of road shows hosted by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India to promote Dekho Apna Desh, where the tourists are encouraged to visit their own heritage and tourist spots first and in this way promote local business and employment.This is about creating a common platform where necessary interaction can take place to boost inbound tourism further, a release here said.(UNI)
