Delhi BJP holds silent protest near Raj Ghat

New Delhi, Jan 7 : Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta Today  expressed concerns for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s safety and security.

“Congress party and its leaders should apologise for Prime Minister’s security lapse when he was on way to address a political rally in Ferozepur, PM Modi was stuck on a flyover in Punjab’s Bathinda.”, he told media persons after silent protest got over where Gupta along with party MPs and MLAs held a two-hour long silent protest (mon dharna) near Raj Ghat against breach of Prime Minister Narender Modi’s security.

He said “It was the responsibility of Punjab Government to provide proper secretary during the PM’s visit in the state but there was lapse in the security.”

Gupta alleged that Punjab Government and Congress top leaders are responsible for this security breach.

“The actual fact would come out after probe as the Ministry of Home Affairs has set up a committee to probe into the matter,” he added.

Gupta said this incident is very serious and intolerable as the nation has already lost two PMs in the past due to security breach.

MHA has constituted a committee to enquire into the serious lapses in the security arrangements during PM’s visit to Ferozepur, Punjab on Wednesday, which led to the exposure of the VVIP to grave security risk.(UNI)
