DDMA Budgam issues guidelines for Eid celebrations

Srinagar, Jul 13 : The District Magistrate (DM) Budgam Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza, who is also chairman of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Today issued fresh guidelines for the celebration of Eid-ul-Azha in the central Kashmir to prevent further spread of COVID disease.
Mr Mirza said this evening that in order to ensure that COVID appropriate behavior is strictly adhered to during the celebrations of Eid ul Azha, so as to contain the spread of COVID diseases, new guidelines shall be ensured at the Sub Divisional Level and Tehsil level and COVID committees headed by Sub District Magistrate (SDM) and Tehsildars respectively.
He said small gathering for Eid prayers shall be held in place of huge gathering. Eid prayers are preferably held in open space, he said, adding if no open space is available, prayers shall be held in properly ventilated spaces.

He said Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) at slaughter houses shall be maintained and followed strictly. He said random mass sampling at all busy market places is intensified to ensure that sampling of all service providers is undertaken on priority.(UNI)
