Dattatreya, Kishan Reddy inaugurates photo exhibition on Telugu freedom fighters in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Nov 20 :Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and Union Minister for Culture, Tourism G Kishan Reddy Today  inaugurated a photo exhibition on Telugu Freedom Fighers at Keshav Memorial Institute of Commerce and Science in Narayanaguda here.
In a bid to showcase the events highlighting the role of Telugu freedom fighters in the freedom movement, Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Hyderabad organized the photo exhibition.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Dattatreya said that conducting such photo exhibitions would remind the youth about the value of sacrifices made by our freedom fighters to secure the future of the nation.
The idea of organizing this type of exhibitions would instill a sense of pride regarding India’s glorious history and culture, he added.
Mr Reddy said that this exhibition was an apt time to recollect the sacrifices made by our forefathers towards attainment of freedom in the name of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and urged the citizens to visit the exhibition.
Ms Shruti Patil, Director PIB & ROB said that this photo exhibition displayed 40 panels highlighting the contribution of ‘unsung heroes’ of the freedom struggle.
She said that the exhibition is a part of a series of Programmes organized in the form of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav throughout the country to celebrate the 75 years of India’s independence.
The photo exhibition will remain open for public from November 20 to 22.
Photo panels on Pingali Venkayya, Katam Laxminarayana, Konda Laxman Bapuji, Maulvi Allauddin, Alluri Sitarama Raju, Komaram Bheem, Chityala AiIlamma, Suravaram Pratapa Reddy and other prominent freedom fighters from two telugu states were displayed in the exhibition.
Dr Manas Krishna Kant, Deputy Director, PIB, Mr Hari Babu Assistant Director, ROB, Ms Krishna Vandana, Senior Editor, Yojana and other officials participated in the event.(UNI)
