Daler Mehndi to present his first metaverse concert on Republic Day
New Delhi, Jan 20 : Daler Mehndi is all set to present India’s first metaverse concert on Republic Day.
In a larger than life virtual performance scheduled on the special day, the king of Punjabi pop music will become the first Indian musician to hold a metaverse concert joining the likes of Justin Bieber, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande and Marshmallow.
The Punjabi king of pop, going strong since the 90s, will be bringing his grooving foot tapping danceable rhythms to the stage, and fans are expected to have a hell of a time, for this will be more than just a live stream.
Rather, anyone who takes part in the concert will be able to interact as their own online customized avatar and can use it to groove to the pop king’s music, from mobile, PC and invite their friends, all from the comfort of one’s home.
Daler Mehndi shall be performing some of his most famous songs including the iconic ‘Tunak Tunak Tun’ and other bits from his most famous albums such as “Na Na Na Na Na Re” and “Garda”.
Metaverse is a network of 3D virtual worlds focusing on social connections. It can be envisioned as being inside the internet and interacting with people present in the virtual environment.
Daler Mehndi will be appearing on the PartyNite metaverse, created by Gamitronics, a Hyderabad-based gaming studio which has created this metaverse with playable NFTs powered by blockchain.(UNI)
