CPI demands Modi Govt to fund small and economically weak states

Tirupati, May 26 :Dr K Narayana, National Secretary of Communist Party of India (CPI) Today demanded the Modi government to fund the small and economically weak states for purchase of Covid vaccines for free distribution to people .

Addressing a media conference on the occasion of Black day call give by farmers associations the CPI leader charged the Modi government of being anti farmer ,anti labour and anti Covid patients .

He said the Modi regime and NDA governments had been giving only lip service to agitating farmers against Black laws and suffering Covid patients since last year .

Dr Narayana said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conducting himself as a leader of the Gujarat mafia gang rather than national leader and was clandestinely supporting 28 big businessmen of Gujarat who had cheated the banks worth Rs 10 lakh crores and fled the country .

He said Modi government was busy hoisting cases on those protesting against draconian farm laws and also rising their voice against non availability of oxygen, ventilators and vaccines in the country.

Condemning moral preaching by Modi in Wednesday’s Buddha Poornima speech ,Dr Narayana said instead government should announce medical emergency and take over all private hospitals and ensure easy access of all Oxygen beds, ventilators and life-saving Covid drugs besides availability of Covid vaccine across the country .

He asked the centre to follow the Tamilnadu model where DMK chief minister Stalin had announced an ex gratia of Rs 25 lakhs for Covid warriors and such families are give Rs 4000 monthly pension

He indicted the Centre for it failure in announcing any package to migrant labor and BPL families during tough times of Covid and demanded a compensation of at least Rs 10,000 each for affected families.(UNI)
