Mumbai, Jul 30 : Maharashtra on Friday reported 6,600 new COVID cases and 231 virus-related fatalities, informed the official health bulletin.

With the new additions, the state’s cumulative case tally has now surged to 62,96,756 while the death toll mounted to 1,32,566.

Meanwhile, the highest number of patients i e 7,431 were discharged during the day across the state, taking the overall count of recoveries to 60,83,319.

The state’s recovery rate and the fatality rate stood at 96.53 per cent and 2.1 per cent, respectively.

Presently, there are 74,494 active cases across the state, the bulletin added.(UNI)
